Knife Care
Hand wash and dry your knife immediately after use. Do not place it in a dishwasher. Avoid cutting frozen food, bones, or other hard materials unless the knife is designed for that purpose.
Store the blade in a knife block, saya, blade guard, or on a suitable magnetic strip.
Complimentary First Sharpening
Eligible knives purchased from Tetsu & Oak include their first standard sharpening at no additional cost. Proof of purchase may be required.
Major chip repair, thinning, rust removal, reprofiling, and restoration work are not included.
Maintain a clean, dependable working edge with the Suehiro New CERAX CR-1000-B Ceramic Whetstone.
The #1000 medium grit is a versatile choice for routine sharpening, restoring dull kitchen knives and refining an edge after coarse repair work. Its ceramic abrasive surface provides a practical balance between steel removal and edge refinement.
A fitted base raises the stone above the work surface, providing better hand clearance and improved stability during sharpening.
Features:
• Manufacturer: Suehiro
• Series: New CERAX
• Model: CR-1000-B
• Grit: #1000 medium
• Ceramic water stone
• Fitted sharpening base included
• Suitable for routine kitchen-knife sharpening
• Made in Japan
Directions:
Prepare the stone with water according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Place the mounted stone on a stable, non-slip surface and keep the sharpening surface wet throughout use.
Maintain a consistent angle and sharpen until an even burr develops, then repeat on the opposite side. Finish with alternating light strokes to reduce the burr before moving to a finer stone or leather strop.
Care:
Rinse away all sharpening residue after use and allow the stone to dry completely in a well-ventilated area before storing. Flatten the sharpening surface periodically to maintain consistent blade contact.
Do not leave the stone submerged for extended periods or expose it to freezing temperatures, extreme heat or a dishwasher.
