WHY WE STARTED
Making Japanese Knives More Approachable
Japanese kitchen knives can offer exceptional performance, but choosing one can feel overwhelming. Steel types, blade shapes, finishes, handles, and care requirements are not always explained clearly.
Tetsu & Oak was created to make the process easier. We focus on carefully selected products, practical information, and honest guidance so customers can choose with confidence.
Whether you are a home cook choosing your first Japanese knife, a culinary student building a professional kit, or an experienced chef looking for a dependable working blade, our goal is to help you find the right tool for the way you cook.
“Sharp tools should make cooking easier, more enjoyable, and more precise.”
