All knives must be clean, dry, and fully secured before drop-off.

Use a blade guard, knife roll, original packaging, or rigid cardboard securely taped around the entire blade. Never bring an exposed knife or place an uncovered knife loosely inside a bag or box. Unsafe or unsecured knives cannot be accepted.

Pretty Potions is serving as the drop-off and pickup location only. All sharpening questions, quotes, and service updates must be directed to Tetsu & Oak.

Standard sharpening includes inspection, sharpening, deburring, finishing, and cleaning.

How It Works

Contact Tetsu & Oak

Tell us how many knives you have, their approximate sizes, and whether any have chips, rust, or damaged tips.

Secure every knife

Each blade must be fully covered using a blade guard, knife roll, original packaging, or rigid cardboard secured with tape.

Drop off at Pretty Potions

Bring the secured knives to 6 Front Street North in Thorold during the listed store hours after arranging the drop-off with us.

Pick up when ready

We inspect and sharpen your knives, then contact you when they are finished and ready for pickup.

Repairs and Restoration

Major chips, thinning, reprofiling, rust removal, bent blades, and restoration work are inspected and quoted individually.

We will contact you before completing work that requires an additional charge.

Transporting Your Knives

Knives must arrive clean, dry, and safely protected. Every blade must be fully covered and secured so it cannot slide out during transport.

Exposed or loosely packed knives cannot be accepted. Please contact us in advance about ceramic or serrated knives.

Tetsu & Oak Knife Benefit

Eligible knives purchased from Tetsu & Oak include their first standard sharpening at no additional cost.

Proof of purchase may be required. Repair and restoration work are not included.
