Knife Care
Hand wash and dry your knife immediately after use. Do not place it in a dishwasher. Avoid cutting frozen food, bones, or other hard materials unless the knife is designed for that purpose.
Store the blade in a knife block, saya, blade guard, or on a suitable magnetic strip.

Eligible knives purchased from Tetsu & Oak include their first standard sharpening at no additional cost. Proof of purchase may be required.
Major chip repair, thinning, rust removal, reprofiling, and restoration work are not included.

Made with natural leather, this bench strop removes remaining burr fragments and lightly polishes the edge after sharpening on fine whetstones. The broad, firm surface provides stable contact and enough working length for kitchen knives.
Use it as the final step in your sharpening routine to improve edge cleanliness and cutting feel without removing significant amounts of steel.

Directions:
Place the strop on a stable, non-slip surface. Lay the knife against the leather at approximately the same angle used during sharpening. Using very light pressure, draw the blade spine-first across the strop.
Alternate sides and repeat until the edge feels clean and consistent. Always use edge-trailing strokes—never push the cutting edge forward into the leather.
Care:
Keep the leather clean and dry. Do not soak it or clean it with water. Store it away from heat, moisture and direct sunlight.
Stropping compound is not included.
